Our Story
Thembi and Gavin first crossed paths in 1989 while working at a panel shop—Gavin as the manager and Thembi as a receptionist and administrator with a passion for cars. Their shared vision eventually led to the establishment of G&T Autobody, named after its founders. In 2010, twenty-one years after their initial meeting, they decided to launch their own business. Today, Thembi stands as the sole owner of G&T Autobody, a noteworthy achievement in the male-dominated automotive industry.
Based in Strijdom Park, Randburg, G&T Autobody is renowned for its quality workmanship, dedicated service, and quick delivery times. “We specialise in structural and hail damage repairs for all makes of vehicles, ensuring fast and efficient service. Our three-year workmanship guarantee and lifetime paint guarantee provide our customers with peace of mind,” Thembi proudly states.

accreditation
Through SAMBRA (South African Motor Body Repairer Association) G&T Autobody has been a proud member of the RMI since 2010.”I really see the value in belonging to the RMI – before bringing in their vehicles many clients ask me if we are RMI accredited. It not only means a lot to my clients but also for use as shop. Knowing that we belong to the RMI gives Us great confidence.” Thembi acknowledges. As fully accredited SAMBRA member, we get graded once a year. We currently hold an accreditation of a Major Structural Repairer (MSR) which is the highest level given to a panel shop.

Thembi and her team are extremely proud of the work G&T Autobody carries out. “There is a sense of accomplishment in transforming a smashed car into something beautiful to look at. We are a small company and therefore we are like a family. I like it when my employees, share their thoughts feelings, with me.” she says.
Future goals of the owner include buying the premises from which the business currently operates.
